I have not heard any of Roach's stuff in a long time VTgal. I borrowed one of his CD's when he was playing at Tech with Rubicon Crossing. He is very talented, and Travis said one of his songs was nominated for some major award (but I cannot think of it at this time).

Yep. It was a big song-writers award...I can't think of the name of it, but it was discussed on his webpage.

that now has my official vote for the stupidest reply ever, how can you honestly say it has no melody, have you ever actually listened to it. Listen to some Earl Scruggs pickin on a banjo, then tell me it has no melody. Anyways though, i love bluegrass, my stepdad even has his own little bluegrass band, he plays the dobro, which i wouldnt mind to learn how to play, along with the mandalin and the banjo...

Two thoughts come to mind when I hear the word bluegrass. The movie Deliverance and inbreeding!
